Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori announced that 450,000 candidates who could not succeed in the Information Technology (IT) tests would be imparted online IT courses to them as they would not be disappointed at all.

He expressed these views while addressing participants outside Mazar-e-Quaid at the end of the Jashan-e-Azadi rally.

“For how long will we allow ourselves to be cheated, we have to stand up for our rights. I did not make any promise to people, neither to open the governor house nor to conduct IT courses, but I promise today, that I will not leave you until you stand on your feet.Trying to give awareness is my job, taking rights is your responsibility,” he said.

He said that after attending Mazar-e-Quaid flag hoisting ceremony, he went to Islamabad to attend the oath-taking ceremony of the Caretaker Prime Minister, there was heavy rain on his way back, he was asked not to travel and was told to go at his own risk. He said that his wife and children were also with him, but as “you people were waiting for me, I came back to be amongst you.”

He said that he is grateful to Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui who always guides him and all these welfare initiatives have been taken under his directives. He said that if Khalid Maqbool Bhai wanted, this place would have been filled with MQM-P flags, but he decided that only flags of Pakistan would be carried by participants.

He said that the Governor House took a handful of steps for welfare of people as IT courses are also being started, ration is being given to all people who belong to all walk of life, specially, poor and deserving people and on top of that “Bell of Hope” has been installed outside the Governor House for the poor and needy people.

He said that authority is not everything, many things can be done without authority and it requires a vision –cum-will. He said that meat and ration were given to the poor during three days of Eidul-Azha as no one should be deprived of eating meat on Eid.

“I am doing so because my notification as Governor of Sindh was issued on the blessed day of 12th of Rabiul Awwal. Today I am called Awami Governor. This is my victory and I love to be called an Awami Governor by masses,” he said.

Lauding marvelous services of the governor to public, Dr Maqbool said that the governor won many laurels in a short period of 10 months as he has taken good steps and people would always remember him and describe him as a role model for all other people.

MQM-P Senior Deputy Convener Dr Farooq Sattar said and dubbed Kamran Tessori as a son of Karachi who has made impossible possible while winning hearts of Karachiites and people of rest of the province.

TV anchorperson Waseem Badami said that the opening of the Governor House to the public augurs well. It is surprising that government funds are not used in all initiatives of Sindh Governor, he further said.

Earlier, the Sindh Governor arrived at Mazar-e-Quaid from Sharea Faisal with hundreds of the rally participants where people gave him an enthusiastic welcome. He also sang the national anthem with the audience and further lifted the spirits of enthusiasts who went into trance-cum-ecstasy.

Meanwhile, a large number of candidates including boys and girls who intended to do IT courses appeared in a number of tests of IT courses some days back.
